Obviously it needs a new pendulum, but what would I need to provide you with to help diagnose/troubleshoot the problem? I am assuming by moving it with that much force to break the pendulum off the leader she damaged the spring arm too? It truly just does not work, any insight? I actually originally thought that the weights were pulled up too tight, but I realized they have a precautionary mechanism that prevents that, but I tested to see if possibly the weights would drop by moving the hour hand to the quarter hour and to my surprise the clock chimed (gorgeous by the way), so the mechanism still functions, I just cant get the clock started.
So, the seller says that she moved it and broke the pendulum, I have the pendulum and leader. The case is in great condition for its age, and I truly have always wanted a grandfather clock.
So, I am brand new to the clock world, I recently purchased a non working Ridgeway Grandfather clock, aware that it did not work.
